Do you know where your spot in the game is?
When you read the blogs, watch BET, or open up The Source do you have a feel of how YOU fit into the hip hop landscape?
If your answer is no, that’s fine. I think I can help you.
The way I see it, all you need to do is answer this question: “Who are you when you’re at your best?”
Not you after you’ve just finished arguing with someone and now you’re pissed. Not you when you just took an L on the court and now you’re feeling off. Not you when you wake up feeling like shit after drinking too much the night prior.
Who are you when you’re at your best?
Only you can answer this question, and when you know the answer, you’ll know where you fit in.
You teach people how to treat you, and the better you know yourself at your best, the easier it will be to teach people to treat you like your best.
There are no short cuts in life. It takes time to really get to know yourself, at your core.
But when you’ve finally got a good sense of it, you’ll know how to direct your career. You’ll know what direction to go with your marketing. You’ll know how to get in where you fit in.
